Why Do My Online and Real-Life Connections Fade Away

I'm feeling a lot today. I guess it's been a few days now, but I'm finally figuring out what the issue is.

I'm a loner.

I always have been, but through the years I have been able to really connect with a few people in my real life and some others online. My online friends have really been there over the years and have played a big part in easing any loneliness.

As a retired Army Veteran, I have lots of time on my hands. I have friends that I used to work with over the last few years who are still in my life, but our schedules conflict. I'm also married, so on the weekends I spend most of my time with my husband by choice. He works Monday-Friday.

I try to make connections online with other artists or crafters, but nothing ever comes of it. I even meet people while I'm out and we may have things in common and we seem to hit it off. We even make plans to keep in touch, but as soon as I reach out, it's like we never even met!

I know there has to be women within my age range (50+) and/or share similar interests who would be interested in holding a real conversation. I'm tired. I've done my venting for the day. I had to get it off of my chest.

Til next time.
